Decease and Damage Control

You spend Days, Weeks and Months tending to your valuable crops, hoping and praying that the weather is kind to you.  Could you then afford to lose a crop due to an e.coli scare?

Birds like Feral Pigeons, Wood Pigeons, Herring Gulls, Black Headed Gulls, Carrion Crows, Magpies and so many more can carry many diseases that could stop your crop from reaching the food chain. Losing you months of work, thousands of pounds in earnings and maybe even your customer.

Even if it’s not as serious as this, these birds can be just as destructive to your crops whilst walking all over them, sifting through the soil, even pulling the crops right from the ground.

One client turned to us after they faced this problem, when they lost two whole fields worth of crop due to a discovery of e.coli, caused by Pigeons and Seagulls dropping waste and regurgitating all over the crops.

Now our team provides them with a permanent on-site presence 7 days a week using every trick up our sleeve to make sure  the pest bird species do not get an opportunity to do this again.

Most bird scarer’s for Farmland involve sound or movement.  However these do not offer a permanent level of protection.  Most birds learn to ignore these solutions after some time.

Our team use a combination of the traditional methods, along with some new ones like flying Birds of Prey to make sure your crops are protected.

Why not contact us online or call us on 0330 223 2024 to find out more.

You may be surprised to know that:

  • Pest Birds can tear at crops leaving only bear stalks behind
  • Some birds are known carriers of e.coli and other diseases
  • Large flocks of birds can prevent growth of crops
  • Seagulls flocking behind tractors can be a risk to your machines and staff
  • Noise and aggression often follows Seagulls
  • Birds can leave large amounts of waste behind
  • Seeds are regularly uncovered or eaten by birds

Can you afford to let this go on?  If not, why not give us a call and let us come up with a bespoke action plan for your farmland protection.

There are three very common reasons […]

  • Nest Removal

    Nest Removal

Nest Removal Nests are a by-product of the breeding season and if removed quick enough can stop nuisance birds from rearing young on your property. If left, nests will be home to baby birds for 2 – 8 weeks, or more with some species. During this period the birds will be loudly calling for food, […]

  • Onsite Presence

    Onsite Presence

Onsite Falconer Presence Pest Birds tend to be rather stubborn and therefore need a strong, controlled and regular presence to manage them, there are times that a regular visit, i.e. once a week, is just not enough. If you are finding that as soon as your Pest Control Officer has left the Pest Birds are […]

Discovery Park

I am over the moon with the contract and how Sky Raiders are helping to resolve our pest issue.  I can honestly say you have achieved more in 3 months than the other company managed in 3 years.

Andy Ronchetti - Estates Manager | Discovery Park
Deal Parochial C.E Primary School

The Sky Raiders team accompanied by a Bird of Prey persuaded our seagulls, without causing them any harm, to find somewhere else to raise their young. A very professional, friendly service, with good results, and at a reasonable price.

Richard Knight - Deal Parochial C.E Primary School
Thanet Waste

Being a Waste Processing Facility situated next to a river we obviously attract unwanted pests. Within no time they had the problem under control and we no longer have pest birds on-site. We will continue to use Sky Raiders and would highly recommend them to anybody else that needs a professional reliable service to deal with these kind of problems

Peter Friend - Director | Thanet Waste
Intercrop Ltd

Excessive amount of pest birds resting on our cropped fields were becoming an issue. Controls such as gas guns were not making an impact other than annoying our residential neighbours, and crop covers were also not deterring them. Since using Sky Raiders, we have seen a significant drop in the numbers of birds flying over and landing on our fields.  It has been beneficial, proactive and well received by our customer.

Vince Payne - Technical Manager | Intercrop Ltd
